1. acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Wizzmo mobile application ("App") or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Wizzmo LLC.
2. description of service
Wizzmo is an educational platform that connects college students seeking guidance with verified college mentors for academic, social, and lifestyle advice. Our service includes:
- • Anonymous question submission on educational and personal development topics
- • Peer-to-peer mentorship from verified college students
- • Educational guidance on academic success, social skills, and college life
- • Community features for educational support and networking
- • Premium subscription features for enhanced mentorship experiences
3. user eligibility and age requirements
Age Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to use Wizzmo. Users under 18 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent. By using our Service, you represent that:
- • You meet the minimum age requirements
- • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- • All information you provide is accurate and truthful
- • You will maintain the security of your account credentials
4. user-generated content and safety measures
Content Standards: Wizzmo maintains zero tolerance for objectionable content. All user content must be educational, respectful, and appropriate. Prohibited content includes:
- • Harmful, abusive, harassing, or threatening material
- • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or inappropriate content
- • Content that promotes illegal activities or substances
- • Hate speech, discrimination, or bullying
- • Personal information sharing (addresses, phone numbers, social media)
- • Spam, commercial solicitation, or unauthorized promotion
AI Content Moderation: All messages and content are automatically filtered by AI moderation systems. Our human moderation team reviews all reported content within 24 hours and immediately removes violating material.
5. reporting and safety features
Users can report inappropriate content or behavior through multiple channels:
- • In-app reporting features available on all user profiles and content
- • Direct contact through support@wizzmo.app
- • Safety reporting accessible through app settings
- • User blocking functionality to prevent unwanted interactions
We respond to all safety reports within 24 hours. Users who violate our community guidelines will be warned, suspended, or permanently banned depending on the severity of the violation.
6. mentor verification and accountability
All mentors undergo a verification process including university email confirmation and application review. Mentors are held to the highest standards of conduct and can be immediately removed for violations. Mentor accounts are regularly audited for compliance with our safety standards.
7. subscription and payment terms
Wizzmo offers premium subscription features processed through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Subscription terms include:
- • Automatic renewal unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
- • Refunds governed by App Store and Play Store policies
- • Subscription management through your device settings
- • No refunds for partial subscription periods
8. intellectual property rights
The Wizzmo app, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create but grant Wizzmo a license to use, display, and moderate such content for service operation. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of our Service without explicit written permission.
9. privacy and data protection
Your privacy is fundamental to our service. We collect and use personal information only as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data and will never sell personal information to third parties.
10. educational purpose and disclaimer
Wizzmo is designed for educational and peer support purposes. While we strive to maintain high-quality content, advice provided by mentors represents personal opinions and experiences. Wizzmo does not provide professional counseling, medical advice, or therapeutic services. Users should consult qualified professionals for serious personal, health, or legal matters.
11. limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIZZMO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.
12. account suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Users may delete their accounts at any time through app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms survive termination.
13. governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
14. modifications to terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or email at least 30 days before becoming effective. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
