**Subject:** quick ask — wizzmo society faculty advisor

**To:** [Professor Last Name]

Hi Professor [Last Name],

I'm [Your Name], a [year] at [University]. I'm starting a chapter of Wizzmo Society here — it's a registered student org that runs curated social events on campus (small dinners, mentorship office hours, matchmaking events). We already have [X] students involved and are ready to go official.

We need a faculty advisor to submit our charter to the student-org office. The commitment is light: one event per semester, co-signing the annual SGA budget request, and being available if we ever need guidance on university policy.

Would you be open to a 10-minute chat this week or next? I'd love to tell you more about what we're building.

Thanks so much,

## 30-Second Elevator Pitch (for office hours)

*Use this if you're going in person — keep it tight, they'll ask follow-up questions if interested.*

> "I'm starting Wizzmo Society — a student org that hosts intentional social events, like small curated dinners and mentorship sessions. We're backed by Wizzmo, the platform that's live at Georgetown and a few other schools. I need a faculty advisor to finalize our charter. The ask is really small — one event a semester, co-signing our SGA budget. Would you be interested, or do you know someone who might be?"

## Who to Ask

Good faculty advisor candidates:
- Professors in psychology, sociology, communication, or gender studies (natural fit for what we do)
- Advisors who already run student orgs or seem socially engaged
- Staff in the Dean of Students, Residential Life, or Student Involvement offices (they *know* the process and can make approvals faster)
- A professor whose class you've taken and who knows your name

Avoid:
- Professors who are leaving the university this year
- Anyone who seems uncomfortable with social/dating-adjacent topics (it'll come up)

## FAQ

**What if they say no?**
Thank them and ask if they know someone who might be a good fit. Keep the door open.

**What if they want to know more before committing?**
Send them the charter template and the Wizzmo website (wizzmo.app). Offer a 20-minute intro call with Reagan (email hello@wizzmo.app to set it up).

**How many advisors do I need?**
One is enough for most universities. Some schools require two — check your student-org handbook.
